The Shopkeeper of Salerno

A Novel of Terror Based on a True Story

In the sun-drenched coastal town of Salerno, Italy, Gia and her husband Iver run a charming shop of ceramics. Their life takes an unexpected turn when Lily and Jules Worth, tourists from the UK, stumble into their store. Captivated by Gia’s ceramics, they miss their tour bus. The ever hospitable Gia offers them a stay in their guest bedroom until they can reconnect with their guide.

That night, a restless Lily ventures into the wine cellar in quest of a vintage — only to discover a broken vase stuffed with a Nazi soldier’s boot, the bones of the foot still intact.

This chilling discovery ignites an entity bent on destroying Lily’s peace as it wants to remain with her forever.

Be prepared to stay up all night reading.
The Infernal had me on the edge of my chair through the whole book. The young girl had conjured up a demonic entity. Knowing this due to the fact of the noise that the demon was making and the the evilness of the book that helped unleash the evil, dragging her friends into this situation. This book plays in your mind like a movie. Highly recommend it.

Glued to the book
She had me glued to the book like I was in a movie house. I kept jumping as one thing happened after another. It was unexpected and at times so unsettling.

Plastered to my chair
I was plastered to my chair as I read one page after another. I knew it was true when I read the clicking noise the girl made or whatever it was that was making the sound. I knew then it had to be true. Only demons do that. It had to be a demonic entity.

So insidious
I thought this was just another haunted house book or something? OMG, no. It's so insidious. I had read Haunted Heirlooms and I didn't realize this was the sequel - so gripping and scary even than the first.

Prepare to draw the shades
Prepare to draw the shades or your curtains for this one. I got so paranoid after reading the book that I drew all the curtains on the side of my house that faced the neighbors! Who knows what their daughter is doing in there! These things can easily happen and you don't even realize what brought it on.
